Embrace Your Evolution: A Year of Bold Reinvention Awaits

Welcome to 2024!

This past New Year’s Eve I actually made it until midnight. Ringing in the new year with a quick 48 hour trip to Calgary to watch one of my high school friend’s get married. All of my best friends from those golden days were there. Imagine a bunch of adults, now pretending to be responsible, reliving teenage shenanigans. The nostalgia was real and the time spent together special.

Personal journeys and business journeys aren’t that different. They’re both about growth, change, and, most importantly, the people we share them with.

While it’s wonderful to revisit our past and cherish where we come from, it’s equally important to embrace who we are becoming.

And a big theme I came across last year was that a lot of people both in my personal and professional network were undergoing REINVENTION. Myself included.

Each one of us, in our own ways, has evolved. We’ve faced challenges, adapted to changes, and discovered new facets of ourselves.

Just like the transformative essence of a wedding, where two lives merge into a new beginning, we too have been blending our past experiences with our aspirations for the future.

As we all continue to grow and evolve into new versions of ourselves, it’s important to take inventory where you came from. Our past has shaped us, but it’s our present actions that will define our future.

So, the question I pose to you today is this: Who do you want to be this year?

Rather than viewing this through the lens of an aspirational self, consider a different perspective.

What if ‘becoming’ is less about crafting a new persona and more about the unmasking of your true self?

Imagine it as a journey of revealing and embracing the authentic you, the person you’ve always been at your core.

This year, let’s focus on being more of who we already are, unapologetically and boldly. Let’s honour our genuine selves, shedding any facades that no longer serve us.

It’s in this unmasking that we find our truest form of self-reinvention.

Keep moving and shaking,

Suzanne
